Tammy Lambert

Hi! My name is Tammy Lambert. I am a wife and a mom to two human and five dog children. My husband and I live on a small farm in Hillsboro. I work for the Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee as a Regional Executive; in addition, I am a council trainer that specializes in Camping Skills 1, 2, & 3 / Red Cross CPR-First Aid and Wilderness First Aid. When not working, my husband and I love to be outdoors. Whether it’s hiking, camping, backpacking, or kayaking, we are always looking for a new adventure.

I’m a lifelong outdoor enthusiast and an avid hiker, and currently live in Chattanooga, TN. I founded and managed a women’s hiking group in SE TN called Women on the Trail for 5 years. I’ve been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Tennessee since 1996. In 2018, I completed a Level II certification as an Ecotherapist through the EarthBody Institute. My clinical practice focuses on trauma-informed individual and small group work with women and integrating mindfulness and nature-based healing practices into clinical experiences.

I am originally from Chicago, IL and never could find wonderful places to go for runs. I moved to Durango, CO and finally found my outdoors. I quickly found different trails to run & once I got a dog, I started hiking more. Hiking opened up more trail options and more appreciation for where I was. No matter what the weather is, hiking is still available! I moved to Nashville, TN, & although the altitude is much different, the trails are beautiful! The lush greenery, the multiple parks to explore; I’m so excited to be an ambassador & show Tennessee off!!!

Elizabeth Shane

Hello, everyone! I’m Elizabeth, and I’m from Oak Ridge, TN. I just graduated from the University of Tennessee in December, and I manage a nonprofit. In addition to hiking and backpacking, I enjoy rock climbing, pole fitness and going to music festivals. The hike I went on most recently was Fiery Gizzard to Raven’s Point, and my goal is to backpack the Tour du Mont Blanc in 2 years. I’m excited to be a Girls Who Hike TN ambassador, and I can’t wait to start planning hikes!

Arnita Gray

East Tennessee – Smokies, Cumberland (Crossville/Cookeville/Dayton)

My name is Arnita Gray. Born and raised in Indonesia, a beautiful country also called the “Ring of Fire,” I was lucky to be exposed to diverse environments, landscapes and cultures that have inspired my desire to hike. Since moving to Tennessee, that desire has only grown larger. I especially enjoy viewing waterfalls because they bring me so much joy and provide me a peaceful feeling. I love meeting new people who share the same desires of being in nature. There are still a lot of trails I want to hike and so many waterfalls I want to see. So, let’s explore these trails and waterfalls together!

Can’t wait to start!

I have been hiking a little less than ten years. I used to live in MidTN and am used to trails around there. I have hiked all over the state though. I hope to bring to the group knowledge about great hikes all over the state! I live in the Jackson, TN and love hiking for stress relief.

Hey there! My name is Sherry Beaver! This picture pretty much shows me in my happy place… in the woods with critters. I’ve been hiking and backpacking for 12 years thanks to my husband introducing me to the hobby! Discovering the trail has been one of the most meaningful and educational experiences of my life.I live in Collierville, TN (right outside of Memphis – born and raised). I’m so excited to share the trail with you ladies and learn and grow with you. My hope is that I can help cultivate a love of the outdoors within women who may not be familiar with it and to share LeaveNoTrace everywhere I go! Thank you for allowing me the opportunity
